| July Minutes |
Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President, Dave Root, at Allegan Pizza Parlor.
Attendance: Dave Root, Teresa Creech, Bill Creech, Kim Hays, Missy Root, Lori Drozd
The minutes from the June 4th meeting were presented. A motion was made by Lori
Drozd to accept the minutes as presented. Seconded by Missy Root; motion carried.
Dave Root began a discussion regarding the need to file paper work with GVSA by July
14th if we were going to be entering any teams for competition this fall. A potential list
for a U14 Girls team was presented by T. Creech. The list was generated based on the
first two tryouts and interest expressed via various communications to board members.
There was not enough interest in any other division to field any other teams, boys or
girls. A motion was made by T. Creech to submit the payment and paperwork to GVSA
for ACES to field a U14 Girls team for the fall/spring of 2007. Seconded by M. Root;
motion carried.
It was agreed that a third tryout date was needed in order to be fair to all U14 Girl
participants. The date was set for Monday, July 23rd, at 6:00 pm at the Sports
Complex. All girls that have expressed interest but have not gone through a previous
tryout should plan to attend that tryout session.
It was agreed that the board members would continue to recruit players in order to
complete the roster. Tentatively, we have 11 girls and would like a minimum of 14 for a
completed roster. Creeches will contact Rachael Voglewede, Angel Griffith, and Katie
Anderson with the third tryout date; they will also contact Sarah McDaniel and Melissa
Jennings to ask a final time if they will join ACES. T. Creech will email Doug
Beauregard to ask if there were any of the Plainwell Force players, that didn’t make a
team for any reason, which would be interested in trying out for ACES. Drozd will
contact Corrie Wolthuis to inquire about her potential interest in ACES. D. Root will
contact Fennville Dave to see if he knows of anyone interested; he will contact Daniela
Hernandez and Ashley Greenbey as well. D. Root will also create and distribute a letter
of refusal with regards to the other tryout participants.
A bill due to Kaechele Publications for $61.60 was mentioned by T. Creech. T. Creech
will fax a copy of the bill to Drozd for the payment to be made. This cost was for two
tryout announcement advertisements.
The next meeting will be a roster meeting directly following the third tryout session on
Monday, July 23rd.
The next board meeting will be Monday, August 13, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the Pizza
Parlor.
